On December 27, 2010, an Amber Alert has been issued in Texas for missing 12 year old Jonathan Foster, who was last seen on Friday, December 24. Jonathan, who stands 4'7" tall, weighs 85 pounds, has sandy brown hair, blue eyes, and a pronounced overbite. Jonathan was last seen wearing a tan T-shirt with a musical note and guitar print, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers with a red stripe. He is wearing no coat. Authorities are asking the public to call Houston Police Department at 713-731-5223 or Texas EquuSearch at 281-309-9500 with any information leading to his whereabouts.

According to Houston law enforcement authorities, accounts of events up to his disappearance are conflicting. The family, a mother and stepfather, is cooperating. The mother reportedly was called at work, only to have someone hang up when she answered. A babysitter claims that Jonathan left her home, a few doors down from his home, to retrieve video games from a neighbor, but did not return. A neighbor's report and his stepfather place Jonathan at home at 1:45pm.

Jonathan suffers from attention deficit disorder, and according to reports from his grandmother, he is easily confused. However, he reportedly was able to function well in school as a fifth-grader at Durham Elementary, and easily has found his way to and from school. The Foster home is located within Garden Oaks, northwest Houston, on North Shepherd and 43rd Street, with dangers such as woods, train tracks and sexual predators in the vicinity. There are 1400 sexual offenders in the Houston area.
